Jetour signs on as FIBA's official car supplier, with Qatar hosting the 2027 World Cup
Qatar's second-best-selling brand will supply vehicle fleets to FIBA events worldwide; the agreement was signed in Doha and Al Waha for Cars represents Jetour locally.
Jetour has signed a global partnership with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) to become its Official Car Supplier. The agreement was formalised in Doha on 30 August. Under the deal Jetour will provide dedicated fleets to move officials, players and guests at FIBA events around the world. The company made a point of its vehicles' cabin space, which it says will accommodate basketball's tallest players. The Doha signing is no coincidence: the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 will be held in Qatar, the first time the tournament comes to the Arab world. Al Waha for Cars is Jetour's exclusive representative in Qatar, and the brand has grown into the country's second-largest by sales, behind only Toyota, on the back of the T2, T1 and Dashing SUVs and the newly launched G700. "Basketball rewards teams that read the moment, move early, and execute together. So does Jetour," said Zaid Mustafa Al-Qatami, CEO of Al Waha for Cars. Jetour opened a flagship showroom on Al Khor Coastal Road in January and signed a strategic partnership with QSN in June, so expect the brand to be visible around the 2027 tournament.
