What you need before you renew your Istimara

Fahes runs the technical inspection at permanent stations across Qatar. A private car costs QR 150; motorcycles about QR 100 and heavy vehicles about QR 250. Book a slot through Metrash2 or arrive at a station; the inspection itself takes 10 to 15 minutes. They check brakes, steering, suspension, lights, tyres, emissions, the windscreen and the chassis number. The new Istimara is issued electronically and appears in the app immediately; you can download or print it, and a physical card is no longer required to be carried.
